The Math of Cooking: Spring Edition

Remember the feeling of a home cooked meal…before you learned to cook? Do you remember helping out in the kitchen? When you started cooking you either read the directions to measure ingredients or you made a phone call.

I think you would agree that cooking is an essential life skill!

Application of math skills is important to academic success! Students who apply math skills are better prepared to master higher math concepts. The Math of Cooking is a workshop provided to Title I parents and families to emphasize the importance of real-world math and engagement in activities that create family time! This session will address essential math and life skills. We hope that you will enjoy performances by Rickards High School students and engage with our host Lanetra Bennett, WCTV News Anchor and Celebrity Chef - Chef Shac! The event will be held at James S. Rickards High School, Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 6PM. The first 50 families will receive a meal-kit so that they can cook like Chef Shac!
