These students have demonstrated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Six Principles of Nonviolent Social Change: (1) They are active in advocating for nonviolent strategies when conflicts occur (2) They have built friendships and constantly seek guidance from school leaders and teachers. (3) They are advocates in avoiding bad situations and making good decisions. (4) They are flexible young leaders who have been receptive to change. Change is inevitable as individuals grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually. (5) They are quick to resist conflicts; and (6) They have been identified by their teachers as young leaders who are determined to succeed in life.
