[cid:image006.png@01D9FDF8.B421EFE0]Hello Hawks Rise Families,

October is such a wonderful month, with all of the fun fall activities, but it sure is a busy month!

Today was the end of the first quarter, and Monday is a Teacher Planning Day so there will be no school for students.

On behalf of the Ox Bottom Manor Community Board of Directors, I would like to invite you to participate in our first ever 1 mile/5K Fun Walk Run (Fun Run Races) on November 18, 2023. The races will be

non-competitive because the purpose of the event is to bring the community together for a little laughter and some fun for a few hours enjoying family and friends. For parents and students that live in

the community, you can register by going to Community Events | Ox Bottom Manor Community<https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fwww.oxbottommanor.com%2fp%2fCommunity-Events&c=E,1,xtKLd8EL-TD39315bPLrBRGuFOTkfmP0fYba7k_w4pgcwq9G7Px9rI_SxXpEOyl9gDJbbE_-5_1MMXAP25rulbxfpUw-SoO40yWIddOUEXeYlESnmbiBu8cHCQ,,&typo=1> and selecting the link for the Fun Run Races. However, if you do not live in the community,

but are interested in participating, you can email me at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

See the attached flyer for more details about this fun family-oriented event. Registration is free for everyone! Hope you will join us!

  * I am sure you have heard about E-funds from your child’s teacher, but I have also attached a Step-By-Step guide to assist you. Just like anything new, there may

be some bumps in the road, but in time, it will become easier for everyone.

  * AR Quarter 1 ends at 3:15 pm this Friday. The program will be locked from quizzing until school starts back on Tuesday, October 17th. Please remind your students they will not be able to quiz this weekend.

  * Out of Field. Mrs. Mariscal, our amazing art teacher, comes to us as a certified teacher and with much experience, but is working towards getting Art certification added to her certificate. She has completed all of the requirements and is now waiting for the Department of Education to complete the paperwork to add art to her certificate. She will be considered Out of Field until she receives the certificate.

  * Thank you to all of the students and families who donated coins for our Be Bold! Go Gold! Campaign. We raised $1,665.32!

  * Skill of the Week—Determination-facing challenges and persisting.

  * Kindergarten through 2nd grade- remember to read Give Bees a Chance for the Principal’s Book Chat. The book is in the Media Center for checkout.

is a special cause for us because one of our very own New Home Specialists, Johanna Dorsett, is a proud HRES Mom! Whether you’re looking to build a new house, or find

a ready-to-move-place of your own, contact Johanna and see what your life could look like in a Premier Fine home.
