Parents and Guardians,
Happy Sunday. THANK YOU for another great week. It is supposed to be beautiful weather today – I hope you plan on a fun way to enjoy it.
[cid:image003.jpg@01D8DBA9.02D57850]The SECOND annual Hawks Rise Spirit Sprint is HERE!!! The Spirit Sprint starts with a pep rally and culminates with a fun run on October 14. More information is attached and the weekend challenge can be found below.
Due to Hurricane Ian, our milk and juice deliveries (originating in the Tampa area) have been impacted this week. We anticipate possibly running short of milk and juice. We will supplement the milk and juice with the water available in the cafeteria areas. Nutrition Services staff will provide cups to students as needed. We understand the disruption this causes to the regular meal routine and are doing everything possible to minimize this issue. We appreciate your understanding and patience!
Please label your child’s water bottle, backpack, jacket, and lunchbox. Lost and Found items will be placed on tables outside the cafeteria for parents to go through during the Spirit Sprint (10/14).
The Principal’s Book Chat for October is The Velveteen Rabbit. This book chat is eligible for kindergarten through second grade students. We will meet to discuss the book and have a fun activity and themed snack on Monday, October 24.
October is anti-bullying month. Our guidance team is hosting a “Be the I in Kind” campaign. This campaign will include filling students buckets on grade level posters in the cafeteria. Buckets are “filled” by noting kind acts with a post it notes on the poster. Please discuss kindness with your student at home this week as well.
Read Ribbon Week kicks off the week of October 24. Read Ribbon Week is focused on having a drug-free, healthy lifestyle. Please encourage your student to participate in fun dress up events and celebrate wellness with us all week!
