Griffin Family,

I hope that each of you had a wonderful and memory-making spring break!  I know it was a much-needed period of "rest" for all of us!  Please be reminded that the 3rd 9-week period ends on April 1st.  Please take the time TODAY to go into FOCUS and Canvas with your child to review their current grade standing in each of their courses.  If you have any questions regarding your child's grade(s) please reach out to the teacher of each course.  Here are some reminders regarding grades and passing each course:


  *   Each course needs a minimum of 4 quality points at the end of the school year to PASS the course and one of the quality points, per course, MUST have been earned in the 2nd semester (the 3rd or 4th 9-week period).


  *   Quality points are earned from the letter grades assigned each quarter, for each class.  Grade of "A" is worth 4 points, "B" is worth 3 points, "C" is worth 2 points, "D" is worth 1 point, and "F" is worth 0 points.


  *   3rd 9-week report cards will be published to FOCUS on April 14th

Required documents as we look forward to 21-22 school year:


  *   All 8th Grade students are required to submit address verifications by May 10th.  Your student will not receive a course request card for high school without this.  Please send/scan your lease agreement/mortgage and utility bill to our Griffin Registrar, Ms. Harris at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>


  *   All rising 7th graders (current 6th graders) are required to have their Tdap immunization to enter school for the 21-22 school year.  Please schedule these appointments with your primary care physician or the health department as soon as possible!  Please send/scan shot records to our Griffin Registrar, Ms. Harris at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> . Failure to provide these records will prevent your student from starting school next year!


  *   There will be no school on April 2nd (spring holiday) and April 5th (Teacher Planning) - mark your calendars now!

Please encourage your student(s) to work hard and earn the needed quality points to pass each course!  We want ALL of our students to be promoted to their next grade for 21-22!
