Good morning, all!

We are excited to start a new school year here at Fairview with our IB Prep students! Transportation information is available; I have linked the site below. Please make sure to check your stop location prior to the start of the school year.

A few reminders:

  * if there are concerns on the stop's location it is best for you to reach out directly to transportation first.

  * Routes are subject to change between now and the start of school as new students are still being registered. Make sure to check 2 days prior to the start of school (Tuesday 8/8) to make sure your route did not change.

  * If there is a need for two bus stops for custody reasoning, Transportation needs a copy of the court document. Please make sure both addresses are listed in FOCUS and notify me of which address needs a stop. I will then put in the second transportation request.

  * Transportation for the IB prep program is for students who live within Leon County. If you live outside of Leon County, you will need to provide transportation to and from school.

  * There are no additional buses after the daily afternoon dismissal - if your child participates in sports and or after school clubs you will have to arrange for pick up.

  * If you live within two miles of Fairview, they do not provide a bus stop.

  * Students should arrive at the assigned bus stop at least ten (10) minutes before the published bus stop time. Parents/Guardians should assure that students dress appropriately for the weather. For example- rain gear for inclement conditions, proper footwear for walking to and from and waiting at the bus stop.

  * The bus stop and the school bus are considered an extension of the classroom and students are expected to observe the same code of discipline expected in the school classroom.

  * Students are not allowed to eat, drink or chew gum while on the school bus.

Make sure students know their route number on the first day. It will be the same in the morning and afternoon. We do not want students missing their bus the first day of school 🙂
