As a reminder, beginning Monday, 8/30, Leon County Schools is requiring all students in PK-8 to wear a mask unless they have a new completed opt-out form, signed by a doctor, with a doctor's stamp or letter on office letterhead. The previous forms, which only required a parent's signature, will no longer be valid. I have attached the new district opt-out form to this e-mail.
Please make sure your student has a mask when they arrive at school every day. Students will not be required to wear a mask while outside and our teachers will provide mask breaks outside throughout the day. Teachers will also be mindful of individual mask breaks, as needed. We appreciate your cooperation and support as we attempt to provide the safest environment for our students.
