Good afternoon 3rd and 4th grade parents! As we slowly return to "normal" our kids are once again going to have the opportunity to learn to play the recorder. Please see the information below from our music teacher, Ms. Dietrich. She sent this previously, but asked if I could send it again! Hello Students and Parents, My name is Gabrielle Dietrich, and I am the General Music Teacher at Canopy Oaks Elementary. If you have not yet, please ensure that you join my Remind grade groups. I will list the group codes below: 3rd: 2f423h 4th: kakd3f We are starting recorders in 3rd and 4th grade this year, in addition to the instruments we usually play in class. I am asking that the students bring in their own recorders this year (that they will be able to bring home at the end of the year!). I am unable to provide recorder instruments for each class. I will attach here some links for acquiring recorders both here in Tallahassee and off of Amazon. If your student already owns a recorder, there is no need to buy another. I am asking that all recorders be brought to school to be kept in the music room. If the student is asked to complete an assignment at home or practice, they will be permitted to bring their recorders home with them. Please have your student bring in their recorder no later than September 21st, 2022. Please have your students bring their recorder, labeled with their name, before or after school, or during their regularly scheduled music time.
