Dear Canopy Oaks Family-- Today, we were notified late last night, that one student at our school has been identified as testing positive for Covid-19. The student is currently quarantined. We have completed contact tracing to determine if any additional students will need to quarantine. The school has begun making phone calls to parents of students impacted by this exposure. If you do not receive a call, then it was determined that your student was not in close contact with the positive case. A close contact is defined as someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes. These exposures, unfortunate as they are, highlight the importance of everyone doing their part to minimize the spread of this virus: stay home when you are sick or waiting for a COVID-19 test result, keep things clean and sanitized, utilize proper hand washing, wear masks, and maintain social distancing.
