Thank you to all who were able to make it to Parent Night. We hope that you found the evening to be informative and enjoyable.

                        Some things to add to your calendar:

* Drama Yard Sale-September 22, in Cobb cafeteria 7am-10am. Contact Mrs. Meis if you have questions or donations. Happy Fall Equinox!
* Progress Reports go home THIS Wednesday, September 26!

* Writes Upon Request-Tuesday, October 2nd. All students will participate in this district wide assessment. Students are allowed 60 minutes for testing. Please help your child to be prepared by reminding them to:
o Go to bed early the night before the test.
o Eat a healthy balanced breakfast the morning of the test.
o Visit the restroom before testing.
o       Read the prompt carefully.
o       Relax!

* The deadline to make the first deposit for the Washington D.C. trip is September 30. Yes, that is Sunday-sooo, let's make that a firm October 1st!

*       October 19th-end of 1st nine weeks.

* October 22-Teacher Planning; no school for students.

* The first deposit for the 6th and 7th grade Magnet field trips is due on October 4.

What you may have missed at the Parent Meeting-

Field trips are being shuffled just a bit.

For the first time EVER, both 6th and 7th graders will go to SeaWorld this year (on different dates)! Next year only the 6th graders will go to SeaWorld and the 7th graders will go to NASA in Huntsville, Alabama. These changes will help to align the field trips with the curriculum.

Or the first time EVER, there are a FEW slots available to 7th graders for the Washington D.C. trip! See either Mrs. Cockrell or Ms. Mosley for additional information!

 Enjoy this wonderful fall weather! Isn't it great?
