PRINCIPAL’S PAWSE
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe and joyous holiday break! Over
the break, I got married in Alabama and took a short honeymoon trip to
South Dakota. I am trying to get used to being "Mrs. Moss" instead of Ms.
Lewis, and the children are really helping me out!
The second semester is off to a wonderful start! Our fifth grade students
are really starting to "buckle down" and prepare for middle school! Report
cards will be coming out on January 15th and we will hold our second awards
assembly on the following Wednesday.
Mrs. Olk will be sharing more information about our upcoming "FCAT
Saturdays" that will help students who may need that extra support to get
prepared for the upcoming standardized testing. The PTO has purchased test
preparation booklets that parents may use at home to help prepare children,
as well. Test preparation booklets will be on sale at PTO events.
I hope to see everyone out on our upcoming PTO "Family Writing Night"
scheduled for January 21st.

MRS. OLK’S CORNER
FCAT preparation for 4th and 5th grades: Your 4th and 5th grade child has
been enrolled and issued a password that will enable him/her to access an
excellent FCAT practice site. They need to log on to www.FCATEXPLORER.com
and they can access this site from home. The students will also have access
to this web site here at the school.
