Parents, if your child is attending Digital Academy and has received a device from their school, please note:

The driver for the Wi-Fi adapter has already been loaded onto the machine. You do NOT need to use the disk to load anything. Simply plug the wi-fi dongle into a usb port and it will work.

WELCOME
My name is Mikayla Blue, and I am the new magnet coordinator here at Cobb Middle School! I will be working closely with Marianne Graves, our magnet liaison, to make this year memorable. If you wish to offer feedback about our program at any time, please email [log in to unmask] to tell us about events you have liked in our past, as well as ideas

We understand not everyone was able to attend, no worries, our notes & forms have been posted online on our Magnet webpage<https://www.leonschools.net/domain/1490>. We do have a folder for those that couldn't make it and we will have a make-up meeting in August. Dear Parents/Guardians,

In an effort to improve our schools, the Leon County School District is conducting a 2019 Spring Parent/Guardian Climate Survey. We value your opinion and ask that you please take the time to complete this survey based upon your experiences at your child's school. If you have children at multiple school sites (example - one child in elementary school and one child in high school), we respectfully ask that you complete one survey for each school. If your children attend Ft. Braden or Woodville K - 8 School you only need to complete one survey.

Hello and Happy Friday!

So much to share with you! Our magnet recruiting season is underway and we have enjoyed hosting shadow students and showcase nights to highlight all that Cobb has to offer our community! Someone asked me why choose Cobb? To me there are many reasons, great teachers, great students, engaging curriculum, family atmosphere; however, one reason really stands out! Cobb prepares students to become community leaders. We encourage students to think critically so they become resilient problem solvers. They then go out into the community to help serve and lead by example! It makes me proud to

We had a extremely busy day at Cobb Middle School yesterday!

We started the day with health screenings for our sixth graders. Because of the wonderful help from our parent volunteers, we were able to finish screening over 300 children before noon. A HUGE thanks to all of you!

It was exciting to see so many parent come to the Washington D.C. meeting! Students always look forward to their senior trip. They come back tired but bubbling with excitement! The deadline for making your reservations for that trip is September 30. Don't let that date sneak up on you! If

Reminder-

We will have Open House tomorrow night beginning at 6:00. You will have an opportunity to 'walk a mile in your child's shoes' as you follow his/her class schedule and spend time in each teacher's class.

There is a rumor that Mu Alpha Theta (MAO) is having a bake sale before Open House begins. If you would like to donate by sending baked goods, please send donations to room 45 tomorrow with your child. You may also drop items off in the front office. ALL money raised will go towards MAO trips to offset the cost. Last year MAO

Many of you have been asking about Parent Portal passwords. We are changing to a new system this year and look to roll out that red carpet during the week of September 4th. Look for information about PinPoint to come home during that week.

At this point all student seats have been secured on the busses. Woo hoo! Because of the shifting of numbers, it is taking a bit longer to situate the logistics of parent chaperones. Realizing that those who have volunteered to go will need to request time off from work, we will be able to give you that information by next Wednesday, January 18. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may be causing and ask that you hang on just a few more days as we are working very hard to pull this all together!

One of the most important skills that your child can establish is organization. What an exciting time we had at Kennedy Space Center and at Sea World! All
of the students had fun as did the adults; we came back with many aspiring
astronauts and animal trainers. For those of us who are seasoned campers,
those skills sure came in handy.

I do have a few left over items from the Sea World trip--a blue sleeping
bag with blue and yellow plaid liner, a stuffed walrus and a small stuffed
orca. If these sound familiar to you, ask your child to come by my office
and check.

Welcome to Spring Fever!

This month is such a busy month with so much fun to pack into such a short
period of time! Can you believe that our year is almost over? We are
going to be finished in the blink of an eye and will be seeing the 2010/11
school year before we have time to think about it!

Much thanks and a HUGE shout-out goes to those who attended the Applebee's
Share Breakfast! This was so much fun to be a part of. The students were
so cute working as servers and the pride that they assumed for their
incoming classmates was amazing! They absolutely looked like seasoned
staff! Parents and teachers worked very hard in the kitchen and learned
the Applebee's secret recipe for flapjacks, eggs and sausage!
