Dear Magnet Parents,

Plans for the Chili Fundraiser have been altered due to student interest in
a Movie Night.  The Chili Cook-off will be rescheduled for our winter
activity in anticipation of cooler weather!

On Friday, November 20, the Magnet Program will host a combined Silent
Auction and Movie Night fundraiser event to benefit magnet field trips.
Tickets  will go on sale Monday, Nov. 16 and will be sold during lunch. The
cost of the tickets will be $5 which includes popcorn and a drink.
Students may also purchase pizza for an additional $2 per slice.  This
event is sponsored by Magnet but is open to the entire Cobb family of
students!  Showtime is 7-9 in the Media Center.

A NEW special feature for parents at Movie Night will be the Silent
Auction.  Each grade level has chosen a basket theme.  Sixth grade has
chosen Garden/Patio Basket; seventh grade, Entertainment Basket, eighth
grade Chocolate Lovers Basket.  Each student is asked to bring in ONE item
for their chosen theme basket.  Baskets will be displayed outside the Media
Center for your bidding convenience as you drop off your child for the
movie.  The top bidders will be announced upon student pick up.   Fliers
are also available on Ms. Oliveri’s website.  All items should be submitted
by Thursday, November 19.

Parent participation is encouraged.  Please feel free to contact either Ms.
Oliveri or myself if you would like to volunteer!
