Monday, March 25th - SGA Blood Drive
SAIL's SGA will be hosting the last campus blood drive of the year! ID is required to participate, and appointments are highly encouraged, but not required. Have any questions? Contact Caitlin.

Alumni Returns, Tuesday, March 26th!
Alumni Returns presents our very own Lauren Wade! Join us in the black box at 8:30 am. Lauren will be sharing her journey as a SAIL student and how SAIL has impacted her life and her evolution as an artist.

Wednesday, March 27 - Report Cards Go Live
Report cards for the third 9-Weeks Grading Period will post at 4:00 pm on Wednesday 3/27th. You may login to the Focus Parent Portal to review your student's grades. If you wish to have a hard copy of your student's report card, feel free to contact the main office with your request.

If you have questions or concerns about your student's grades or progress in a specific class, your initial contact should be with your student's teacher. Teachers are always the most knowledgeable about classroom assignments and activities and are always happy to provide timely updates or clarification as needed. For the quickest response time, send an email.



In house testing this week!

  *   SAIL will be administering the SAT test during school to our registered 11th and 12th graders on March 27th – March 29th.
  *   On March 28th - March 29th, the ACT NCR will be administered to a small number of upper classmen. Test-takers have been notified.

There will be an Ultimate Frisbee match at 2pm hosting Gainesville in the upper field at the SAIL Sports Complex.

Leon County Summer Training Program



It’s that time again for the Leon County Summer Training Program! This program is designed to provide valuable employment skills to students between the ages 14 to 24 who reside in Leon County while earning an income. This year Leon County Government has partnered with CareerSource Capital Region to offer participants more professional development opportunities through the Learn, Earn and Advance Program (LEAP). This program will help youth learn important skills such as goal setting, budgeting, time management, customer service and so much more.  The program will run from June 10, 2024, through July 12, 2024. Students will have the opportunity to work 20 hours a week and earn $12.00/hour.

Leon Works Junior Apprenticeships - Applications Due March 31

The new policy, which went into effect on January 1, 2023, now provides high school students who attend charter, private and virtual school, along with public school, the opportunity to learn skilled trades while getting paid.

Student Requirements:

  *   Must be a junior or a senior residing in Leon County and attending either a Leon County Schools District high school, LCS Virtual School, or a Charter, Private, Public school within Leon County.
  *   Must be enrolled in or have previously completed a Career & Technical Education (CTE) program or other coursework that is related to the Junior Apprenticeship positions they are applying for.
  *   Must be able to work 10-15 hours per week during normal Leon County Government business hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) for the entire length of the Leon Works Junior Apprenticeship program.
  *   Must meet Leon County Schools’ requirements for participating in OJT even if the student attends a non-Leon County Schools District school:


     *   2.5 Minimum GPA
     *   No more than five (5) absences per nine (9) weeks
     *   Able to provide their own transportation to job interviews and to work.
     *   Must meet eligibility requirements for in-school youth as defined in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, Public Law 113-128 if employed by CareerSource through LEAP.

2024 Leon Works Expo!



ALL Juniors and a limited number of Seniors will attend the 2024 Leon Works on April 12, 2024, this year. Save the date. Permissions slips will be dispersed on March 19th and are due back to Mrs. John on March 29th. Transportation and lunch will be provided. We have reserved 80 seats. 1st preference to Juniors!

Chain of Parks Art Festival ~ April 20th – 21st
LeMoyne’s Chain of Parks Art Festival is an outdoor fine arts festival which brings some of the top artist from all over the nation to Tallahassee. Along with seeing amazing art, people will be exposed to a wide variety of live entertainment on the main stage, local food trucks, vendors, professional chalk artists, folk art and much, much more. This two-day art festival is free and open to the public. Tutoring Services

If you are interested in your child receiving additional academic support, tutoring is available on Mondays and Thursdays after school in the media center until 3:30 pm. Students can get help in all core classes (and some electives), work on group assignments, study independently, and utilize school technology.
