“The Road to College: Getting Admitted,” a free presentation for parents and students, will be held on Wednesday, January 31st from 6:30pm-8pm at Dorothy B. Oven Park, 3052 Thomasville Road.  This no-cost workshop series explores the issues involved when navigating the college admissions experience. Organized and sponsored by SolutionSkills, this timely program will provide the very latest information on the ever-changing admissions process directly from a state university admissions officer.



Mr. Michael Alberto from Undergraduate Admissions at Florida State University will discuss all aspects of this competitive environment that students and parents must understand to gain acceptance to FSU and other “hard to get into” schools. This includes important ways for students to increase their chances of gaining admission, what can make you’re the application ‘stand out,’ and how the college essay is weighted. This program will benefit all high school students and parents interested in this important topic.
