Hello Hawks Rise Families,

What a wonderful week we had at Hawks Rise!  We enjoyed seeing family members at the Book Fair and during Grand Hawks’ Day, and our students continued to work hard each day! 

The second session of Progress Monitoring (PM2)  started this week with students taking either the ELA FAST (3^rd-5^th) or STAR (K-2^nd).  Next week, students will take the math portion of PM2. 

 

School Information

• We will continue to focus on Kindness for the remaining 7 school days of December.  Please see the attached calendar with our daily practice.
• The book for December for our KG -2^nd graders is Mango, Abuela, and Me by Meg Medina.  Students will have the whole month to read and test (or draw a picture for our kindergarten students), and we will hold our book chat when we return in January. The last day to test or turn in your picture (kindergarten) is January 8.
• Thank you so much for the food donations for Second Harvest!  Our two boxes are overflowing.  We appreciate your generosity. If you weren’t able to donate and still want to help out, the food drive will take place in the front of the school Saturday from 8:00-11:00.
• Let’s get ready for Winter Break with some schoolwide fun!

Hawks Rise Mom and Lil’ Hawk PTO Chair Andrea Fryk is the sponsor and Real Estate Agent behind “Andrea Sells Tally.” In 2019 the Tallahassee Board of Realtors named Andrea “Rookie of the Year.” Andrea is with Ketcham Realty Group. Her broker, Patti Ketcham, is a Commissioner on the Florida Real Estate Commission and keeps her up to date with the very latest.

 

Andrea graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies & Business. She is passionate about helping others.  Being a Realtor has been a wonderful way to remain active with her children (in 1^st & 5^th), the school, and the community while serving her clients in buying, selling and investing in Real Estate.
