Good morning, Wolves!

Last week, seven of our band students were selected for All District Middle School Concert Band and eight were recognized for All District Middle School Jazz Band.  Congratulations to all of our students and Ms. Hightower for outstanding performances!  In addition, our Chorus students performed at Lincoln for Veteran’s Day.  Their joint concert with Buck Lake and Lincoln students raised almost $600 for Honor Flight Tallahassee.  For more information about the Honor Flight program, please click here.   Princeton, one of our 8th grade students was recognized for the TOP award last week.  This award recognizes one 8th grade student each nine weeks for modeling leadership and  their contributions to the community.  Congratulations, Princeton, and thank you Dr. Heather Burch of Burch Orthodontics for sponsoring this award!

PTSO’s Charleston Wrap fundraiser continues this week.  There is no obligation to purchase for participation- please consider participating by simply registering at www.registercw.com (Organization Code is 20730) and sharing the link with friends and family.  Students with the most shares will be entered into a drawing for prizes.  Thanks for your help as PTSO continues to support projects both in the classroom and around campus!

A number of our 8th grade students are in Washington, DC this week for their 8th grade trip.  This trip, and the approaching Thanksgiving Break, has caused some changes to our extra-curricular events.  Please review our website calendar for updates.  Next week, the school and our office will be closed for Thanksgiving.  I am thankful to be a part of such a tremendous school and community.  Thank you for making Swift Creek a great place for our students and staff.

Have a great week!
