Chaires Family

During this time of the year, we are seeing weather changes causing allergies and flu like illnesses, not to mention COVID is still hanging around. We have received several calls about when students should stay home or why they are being sent home. Listed below are the important reasons students cannot be at school:

  * Fever over 100 degrees (student must be out for 48 hours without fever before returning)
  *   Repeated vomiting
  *   Repeated diarrhea
  * Frequent cough (enough to disrupt the learning environment)
  * Persistent pain (ear, stomach, throat or head)
  * Widespread rash or weeping rash that cannot be covered
  * Eye Redness with crust or matted eyelids and mucus or drainage (Pink eye)
  * Symptomatic to the point that it disrupts the other students and learning environment
