Hello SAIL Community,

SAIL’s School Advisory Council (SAC) will have its first meeting on Wednesday, September 27th  in the Media Center and via Zoom at 5:30pm.

The SAC is a volunteer group consisting of parents, teachers, students, and community partners that actively participates in the development of educational priorities, assessment of the schools’ needs, and review of the School Improvement Plan (SIP).  This is another great way to be involved with your student’s educational experience here at SAIL.

During this initial meeting, we will ask for nominations of new members and hold a vote to finalize the council membership for the school year.  Although the SAC only meets once per quarter, community input is important and welcomed.  Please consider officially joining to be a recognized voting member.  Meetings are open to all school stakeholders as visitors, but only SAC members are allowed to vote on school related matters.

If you are interested in being nominated to serve on SAC, please complete this short survey.  During our first meeting we will review/approve the nominations for the 23-24 school year.

The nomination survey will close on Wednesday, September, 20th at 5:00pm.

Attached is a DRAFT copy of the proposed School Improvement Plan (SIP) for the 2023 – 2024 school year.  We encourage all stakeholders, whether you are on the SAC or not to review the plan.  The plan is in draft form and corrections may still need to be made.  If you have any questions or feedback you may submit them to Ms. Linda John, Assistant Principal of Curriculum at: [log in to unmask].  Feedback will be reviewed and the SAC committee will vote on the final plan for approval.
