Our overall IB Exam pass rate (4 or higher out of a possible 7) for all 124 students who took IB Exams was even better, at 71%. The average points earned by those passing the diploma was 30 out of a possible 45 points (24 is the minimum passing score), and the average grade obtained by candidates who passed the diploma was 4.69 points out of a possible 7. She has a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from Angelo State University and Ph.D. all in Biology with a focus on Molecular Biology, Ecology and Evolution of Plants from the University of New Mexico. She has worked with FSU over the years to develop labs that focus on inquiry and student discussion and is currently writing a paper with a post-doctoral student from FSU. At Rickards she is in charge of our award-winning Science Olympiad Program, that has qualified for nationals twice in the past three years, Science Fair, Biology Olympiad (USABO), Science Bowl, and is the Science Department Head. Dr. Hall has a passion for cooking, eating, adventures and traveling. She has been skydiving twice, competed in RAGBRAI twice, and visited ten different countries. In our departments true animal loving tradition Dr. Hall has one cat and one Corgi. Science Classes are not sure what labs will be going on next week due to the storm and interruption of the testing schedule.
