Good day to all Class of 2024 Seniors!!

 

Superintendent Rocky Hanna and the Leon County School Board invite you to apply for the 2023 – 2024 Student School Board Member vacancy. We are looking for rising senior leaders who are ready to serve in this important role. The 2023 - 2024 Student School Board Member will serve in this role from August 22, 2023 – May 14, 2024. The Student School Board Member represents all students within the Leon County School District and will participate in a variety of leadership activities. These leadership activities include (but are not limited to) attending all Leon County School Board Meetings (starting August 22, 2023), providing valuable student perspectives throughout the school year, attending Student District Advisory Council Meetings, speaking roles at various school district events, and other leadership assignments as requested.

 

Interested candidates should submit a current resume that incudes up -  to - date community service experiences. This information should be submitted via email to Stacey Turknett ([log in to unmask]) by 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 27 2023.  Interested candidates should also be prepared to attend a scheduled zoom interview with various community and school district administrators. Interviews will be scheduled to occur before August 10, 2023. The 2023- 2024 Student School Board Member will be announced to our community during the August 22, 2023 School Board Meeting.
