An individual was arrested by the Tallahassee Police Department this morning on the campus of Astoria Park Elementary.

 

Shortly before 10:00 a.m. the individual made their way on to the campus. An LCS School Guardian and LCS staff persons immediately confronted the person and after a brief interaction, the person was physically restrained by the guardian until a TPD officer could arrive.

 

We are thankful for the quick actions of the school guardian and LCS employees.

 

At this time, it is unknown why the individual was on campus. The individual was unarmed.
