Parent Pick Up  Route

Thank you for a successful first week with the new parent pick up route.  Please be reminded of the below rules for parent pick-up:

*All cars must enter parent pick up by making a right from Miccosukee, if the front loop is full (double lanes) cars will be directed to Doctors Drive.  Cars will not be permitted to enter from Centerville Road or by making a left from Miccosukee.

*Please pull as far forward as you can while waiting in the pick up line.

*All cars must display car tags.

*Please watch your speed, now that Miccosukee is clear it is important to maintain the speed limit in the school zone.  We have a lot of walkers and want to make sure they are safe.

*If you are checking out a student after 1:45pm, please park out front of the school (on the street) so you are not blocked in by the parent pick up line.

*Parents may NOT walk up to the car pick up line.  Students at car pick up will only be released to parents in vehicles.

Arrival and Dismissal

Students are not permitted to be on campus until 7:45am without parent supervision.  If you arrive prior to 7:45am, you are welcome to sit on the benches on the front lawn to supervise your child until intake at 7:45am. The school day ends at 2:50pm, supervision is provided until 3:20pm.  Please make sure your child is picked up from school by 3:20pm.  If you are making changes to how your student is getting home, please communicate these changes with your childs teacher.  If it is an emergency change, please call the office no later than 2:00pm.  To ease with dismissal, if you need to check your student out of school early please do so by 2:00pm.

Cell Phones

Cell phones have been banned in our after school program for the remainder of the year, please help in encouraging students to leave their phones at home.  If phones are visible on campus they will be confiscated by staff;  parents will have to come and pick them up.  If you have an emergency and need to reach your student please call the front office, students are not permitted to answer their phones while on campus.

Lost and Found

The lost and found is on the patio out front of room waiters.  Please consider stopping by.

FAST Progress Monitoring Reports

Parents can access the state’s Family Portal by logging into their FOCUS Parent Portal account and clicking the Florida Statewide Assessments icon on the right side of the screen next to their student.  We have received reports that the Florida Statewide Assessments icon/link may not always show up using the Focus Parent Portal phone app or it may not show up at all on the phone app.  You may need to use a desktop/laptop computer to sign into the Focus Parent Portal to be able to view and click the ‘Florida Statewide Assessments’ icon/link to the state’s Family Portal. https://www.leonschools.net/parentportal
