Hello Hawks Rise Families,

 

Happy four-day week!  We squeezed a lot of work into our short week.  Let’s keep encouraging the students to stay focused and to do their best each day.

 

• Our next Principal’s book chat will be for our K-2 graders, and the book is The Coastal Dune Drama: Bob, the Gopher Tortoise.  Since this book is not on the AR list, students will not be taking an AR test on it.  Instead, Kindergarten students will draw a picture of their favorite part and write a sentence about it.  1^st and 2^nd graders will also draw a picture of their favorite part and write a short paragraph about it. Students should turn pictures in to their teachers by April 28.

• 5^th Grade Parents, please see the attachment concerning address verification.
• PTO will be celebrating our teachers and staff during the week of April 17-April 21.  Please see the attached flyer.
• It is Carnival time! Saturday, April 22, 12-3 pm HRES PTO is excited for the 2023 Carnival! Bounce houses, carnival games, lunch options including pizza and Dreamland BBQ sandwiches, plus plenty of sweet treats for an afternoon of spring fun with your family on our beautiful campus. Please see attached flier and details for all information about pre-ordering tickets (deadline is April 17) and signing up to volunteer!
