Good afternoon Parents, Guardians and Community Members,

 

At approximately 1:40 pm, just before dismissal, the Administration received information that a student may have a firearm on campus. The Administration determined the student had a BB Gun in their possession and confiscated it.

 

The student did not have any ammunition in their possession to discharge the BB Gun. However, this is a Zero Tolerance Offense (LCSB 5500). According to the Leon County Schools Code of Conduct, the student will receive the appropriate consequences. The administration appreciates when students come forward and provide information so the Administration, Teachers, and School Resource Officer can keep everyone safe.
