Change of Date: IB CAS Recognition Night: Parents of IB Seniors, IB Juniors, and Pre-IB Sophomores are invited to attend our annual Title 1 IB CAS Recognition Night on Tuesday, April 11, from 6 pm to 7 pm, in the Rickards Auditorium. IB Seniors will be recognized for their completion of their CAS requirements; IB juniors will be inducted into IB Diploma Candidacy; and Pre-IB sophomores will be recognized for their transition from Pre-IB to IB status.

IB Senior Celebration: All parents of 2023 IB Seniors who are interested in serving on the planning committee for the 2023 IB Senior Celebration, please contact Dr. Williams by email at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> or by phone at 850-414-5036. Dr. Williams has scheduled a preliminary planning meeting online on MS Teams for this coming Wednesday, March 29th, at 6 pm, to discuss how we can honor this year’s seniors. Also, if you are a parent of an IB Junior, you are welcome to participate in this committee. Parents of IB Juniors have helped with senior celebrations in the past in order to plan more effectively their own student’s senior celebration the following year. Please contact Dr. Williams, even if you cannot attend the initial planning meeting, as the more parents who participate in the planning process, the less work each individual parent will have to do to prepare for the celebration. Here is the link to the initial planning meeting:

Dr. P. Hall

Science Department Chair
Ms. Fields' AP Environmental Science Students will be getting dirty next week. They will be doing a variety of soil experiments in class.

ALL AP BIOLOGY students should have asked parents/guardians about transportation on May 10th for the AP Biology Exam at TCC. Students can find a ride to TCC, or they can come to school, and we are providing a school bus to take them to TCC, but they are supposed to let their AP Biology teacher know. For Dr. Hall's classes, they have been asked to respond via Remind. For Mr. Edward's class (Sub Now), they have an assignment in Canvas where they can answer the question. If they have Geometry their exam is May 18th and students are responsible for their own transportation to TCC.

If your child had Mr. Edward's for general AP Biology they now have work via Canvas and College Board on Unit 8 Ecology to prepare for the AP Exam on May 10th.

Science Olympiad is traveling to the University of Florida this weekend for the State Competition Saturday, March 25th.

The State Science Fair is April 4th through the 6th and Rickards qualified 4 individual projects: Divya Vemireddy, Navya Kommu, Kavya Kadhirvelu, and Sarayu Vanga!
