Around 12:30 pm we were on a brief lockout due to law enforcement activity within the vicinity of the school. We are now off the lockout and classes have resumed as normal. Safety is always my top priority. There was never a threat to our school, students, or staff. 

As a reminder, here are the differences between a lockout and a lockdown: 

Lockout - close perimeter gates. No one in the hallways or outside during PE. However, classes continue as normal. 

Lockdown - All students and staff proceed to safe corners. All movement on campus stops.
