Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our fall book fair is here and will start on Tuesday, September 27th – Monday, October 3rd. We are planning a special Family Literacy Night at the fair on Thursday, September 29th from 5:00-7:00. Along with shopping at the fair for books to read as a family, we will have a DINNER for all who can attend. We ask that if you are going to attend this event, that you please fill out the bottom portion of this letter and return it to the school by Tuesday, September 27th.

Along with dinner and shopping, each grade level team will have a table set up in the cafeteria with reading materials for you to take and utilize at home. When it comes to reading, that home connection with students is one that is very important, especially reading aloud together.

There will also be the TMH READ Therapy Dog program here and a Leon County Public Library table from the Lake Jackson Branch where you can sign up for library cards. This is a great thing to have so you can go check out books as a family during the year.

As always, if you cannot make it to the family night, you can send in money with your child to shop at the fair during the school day. We also have this great function called the eWallet (see QR code above) where you can load money from your credit or debit card into an account you create for them. Please note: Unused funds cannot be refunded to the credit card, but Ms. Dorband will work to ensure the students use their money wisely and all funds are completely spent.
