Parents and Guardians,

THANK YOU for your patience in the afternoon pick up line.  Please ensure that your child can enter and exit the car from the right (passenger) side.  Additionally, we will continue to use the PikMyKid program to dismiss students from class. Please help us make it better by downloading the PikMyKid app and using it to announce your child.  Announcing the child notifies the teacher that you are at school so your student can be released from class for pick up.  The directions for the download are attached.

Be Bold Go Gold Childhood Cancer Awareness" Poster for Sale by jodirm | RedbubbleIn 2018, third grader Katelyn Irwin was perplexed why schools have a “Go Pink” day for Breast Cancer Awareness in October, but there was no mention of childhood cancer or ‘Going Gold’ the

month prior. After living through her 11-month-old brother’s diagnosis with leukemia back in 2013 and undergoing treatment at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital (he is now six years cancer free and just celebrated his 9th birthday!), she recognized the need to raise awareness for childhood cancer. She approached her principal, and in 2019, she started a "Be Bold. Go Gold." campaign which runs September 1st- September 30th, in recognition of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.  See the attached flyer.

It is such an honor to teach your child.  Thank you for sharing them with us!

Beth Jackson
