Good afternoon, Wolves!
It is hard to believe that the summer is winding down and we are weeks away from August 10th and the start of the school year. As we prepare for the start of another successful year at Swift Creek, I wanted to provide a few
updates and reminders.
- Please communicate with other parents and community members that our primary communication will be through list serv. During the school year, I will send regular updates to inform
our parents and community of events and activities on and around our campus.
- Swift Creek will also utilize our school website calendar for activities and events. This will be the easiest way to view activities and events on campus.
- I have attached our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade supply lists. I recognize a number of businesses have already opened back to school sales and we wanted
you to have this information, which can also be found on our website.
- Schedules are currently being finalized and the district is running a FOCUS update, beginning today, over the weekend. On
Monday, we will send an additional listserv on reviewing schedules and requesting potential schedule changes. While reviewing schedules, please understand that teachers and room numbers may still change as we update staffing. As in previous years,
we will make every effort to meet your requests. Unfortunately, we are limited by class size and course availability by period. Thank you, in advance, for your patience and understanding.
- Swift Creek orientation will take place on
Friday, August 5th, from 10:30-12:30. We will begin with a short meeting in the gym at 10:30. Following the meeting, students will locate their first period teacher from publicized lists around campus. At that time, they will be able to
walk their schedule and meet their teachers.
Thank you for a great welcome to the Swift Creek family. We are working hard to make sure all students have a safe, successful school year and I look forward to seeing everyone soon!
