Happy Monday!  I hope you had an AMAZING break. 

 

The weather looks bad again for the Field Days.  It is with sad faces that we are rescheduling field day again.   We are now planning on April 21 (kindergarten – 2^nd grade) and April 22 (grades 3 – 5). 

 

Field Days Schedules will be at the same times:

Thursday, April 21^st  (Primary Grades)

Kindergarten: 8:30am -- 10:00am

2^nd Grade: 10:15am -- 11:45am

1st Grade: 12:45pm -- 2:15pm

Friday, April 22^nd  (Intermediate Grades)

5th Grade: 8:30am -- 10:15am

3rd Grade: 10:30am -- 12:15pm 

4th Grade: 12:35pm -- 2:20pm 

 

 Lost and Found items will be placed on tables outside the cafeteria for parents to go through during the Field Days (4/21 and 22). After April 22, all items will be donated.

The Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive Starts April 2.  Please send in plastic jars of Peanut butter and/or Jelly from April 2 until April 22. 

The Principal’s Book Chat this month is focused on The Whipping Boy by Sid Fleischman.  Due to the reschedule of field days and the upcoming testing, we will meet to discuss the book and have a fun activity and themed snack on Monday, April 11.  This is a date change.

Start planning some fun for this summer.  AR workshop camps are available and support the school.  Us the code in the attached flyer to sign up.

March 23 or 25 – 1^st grade field trip to Redemptive Love Farm

March 30 – Report Cards published

March 31 – Kindergarten Orientation ***this is a date change

April 1 – 2^nd grade field trip to Mission San Luis

April 1 - Movie Night Performance for 1st and 2nd Graders – 7:30 pm

April 1 – PTO Movie Night 8 pm

April 5-6 – Grade 3 FSA ELA Reading  

April 7 – Grades 4-5 FSA ELA Writing           

April 11 – Principal’s Book Chat – The Whipping Boy***this is a date change

April 13 – 4^th grade field trip to St. Augustine

April 21 and 22 – Field Days ***this is a date change

 

 

Standardized Testing Dates.  This year’s FSA testing is on LCS determined dates. 

Grade 3 ELA Reading                      April 5-6
