Parents, Guardians, Teachers, and Staff -

Happy Friday!!! Today was TONS of fun with the 22 book challenge reward. We had a blast "ice skating" in the media center. Thank you to our volunteers and to Mrs. Tamplin and Mrs. Alford for planning such a wonderful event.

[cid:image003.jpg@01D803EC.0F89BD80]Lunch room manners. School lunch is my favorite time of day. I love the smiles and conversations I get to have with students. We are working this month on lunchroom manners. We want our students to sit nicely in their spot and quietly talk with students nearby. Please help support this and discuss meal manners with your child(ren).

Principal's book club. For the month of January, we will be reading The Boxcar Children, book 1 by Gertrude Chandler Warner. If a student reads the book and earns an 80% or higher on the AR test, they will be invited to a book talk. Our monthly book talks will take place on the last Wednesday of the month.

2-5th grades morning supervision. We have moved into the cafeteria. All 2nd - 5th grade students should go to the cafeteria at 7:45. Mileage will begin (weather permitting) at 8:05.

Staying healthy. As we continue to experience an increase in positive cases in Tallahassee, we ask that all families carefully monitor their student's health. If a student exhibits any of the symptoms below, please have them remain home until their symptoms improve. Please have students remain home if they are waiting on a test result and notify the front office if a student tests positive.

  *   Fever or chills

  *   Cough
  * Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  *   Fatigue
  *   Muscle or body aches
