Good afternoon, Yellow Jackets!
Thank you, again for a successful Boosterthon event! I am thankful to our families, and extended families, that helped us exceed our schoolwide fundraising goal. Next week, our students will make class slime and slime Mr. Koerner. Look
for videos next week!
As mentioned earlier this week, Leon County Schools modified their health and safety procedures related to COVID. The updates can be found at
https://www.leonschools.net/Page/53111 . Currently, students in PK-8 are still required to wear a mask at school, unless a medical opt-out form is provided. The changes in procedures focus on quarantine
due to exposure. As always, please contact the school if your student or a direct family member tests positive for COVID. We will explain your options for quarantine and answer any questions you may have.
Wednesday, October 6th is Walk to School Day, and we will be celebrating our walkers on this day. More information will be available next week.
Our Fall picture day has been rescheduled to next Friday, October 8th, due to unforeseen circumstances. Order forms will be sent home today and Monday, please disregard the incorrect date on the form. We will have pictures
on October 8th.
As we near the end of the first nine weeks, our teachers are meeting with parents to discuss student progress. Thank you for your patience as our teachers attempt to schedule these virtual conferences. Please know that you can reach out
to your student’s classroom teacher any time you have concerns. The easiest form of communication is via e-mail as teachers have students for a majority of their work day.
Have a great weekend!
