Dear Parents/Guardian,

Please carefully read the information below to fully understand this exciting opportunity.

Swift Creek Middle School will be holding an Open House, via Zoom, for incoming 6thGraders, who qualify for our Bridge to AP Program, <outlook-data-detector://1> on <outlook-data-detector://1> Tuesday, February 24, 2021<outlook-data-detector://1><outlook-data-detector://1> at 6:00p.m.<outlook-data-detector://1> This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the Bridge Program at SCMS, our many clubs and electives, and meet future teachers. The Zoom meeting will explore the electives, clubs and sports offered at SCMS, and take an in depth look at the benefits of selecting Swift Creek’s Bridge to AP program for your qualified child.

To qualify for the Bridge to AP program at Swift Creek students must: have maintained a B average in their 5th Grade core classes (Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies), a 4 or higher on their 3rd Grade Math and/or Reading FSA, B averages on Progress Monitoring, and teacher recommendation(s). Our Bridge Students are also intrinsically motivated, and, as leaders in the school, demonstrate maturity in and out of the classroom.

School Choice families are encouraged to attend this event in order to make an informed decision for their student’s middle school experience. Please note: in order to be considered for the SCMS Bridge Program, school choice families must receive admission to SCMS. Please email Tamara Rutland ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) if you are a school choice family interested in the Bridge to AP Program. Please include your name, student’s name, current school and 5th grade teacher. We will contact the school to ensure your child meets the Bridge Requirements.
