Parents and Guardians,

Quarter 1 Report cards were published in FOCUS today, Tuesday, November 10th.

We also wanted to share some quick notes regarding middle school quality points required for promotion.

  1. All students are required to have a minimum of four points in each of their core classes (ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies) in order to promote to the next grade level.
  2. Quality points are earned from the letter grades assigned each quarter, for each class.
    1. Grade of “A” is worth 4 points, “B” is worth 3 points, “C” is worth 2 points, “D” is worth 1 point, and “F” is worth 0 points.
  3. At least one quality point must be earned in the second semester for each core.

Please review your child’s report card and make note of their progress.  Please continue to reach out to each of your child’s teachers with any questions/concerns.  After reaching out to individual teachers, if you feel it is needed, we invite you to schedule a parent conference if you’d like to troubleshoot with your child’s group of teachers about strategies to help them be most successful during their time in middle school.  A parent conference can be scheduled by reaching out to the school and talking with Mrs. Hayes at 850 617-5353.

We would ask that you have a set weekly “appointment” with your child to review their grades in Canvas/Focus. Thank you for your continued support and partnership throughout the school year!

Best regards,
