Griffin Family,
This morning, I received notice that a student at Griffin has tested positive for COVID-19. If your GMS student was involved in the contact tracing conducted by the Department of Health (DOH) you will receive a phone call and directives related to your child will be given.
These exposures, unfortunate as they are, highlight the importance of everyone doing their part to minimize the spread of this virus: stay home when sick or while waiting for Covid-19 test results, keep things clean and sanitized, utilize proper hand washing, wear masks, and maintain social distancing.
We take our commitment to your child's safety seriously and are working closely with the Leon County Department of Health to follow CDC guidelines and best practices during this time.
If you have questions about Covid-19 you can call 866-779-6121.
If you have further questions do not hesitate to reach out to me. Safety remains our NUMBER 1 priority at GMS.

Thanks,
