Good Afternoon,
On February 29, 2016, the Title I Community Center’s after-school program will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony
at the Oliver Hill Community Center located in the Orange Avenue Apartment Complex to celebrate the opening of three new after-school centers. The Tallahassee Housing Authority will also host after-school programs at the Terrance Fregly Community Center in
the Pinewood Place Apartment Complex on Grady Road and the Springfield Community Center located in the Springfield Apartment complex.
We are excited to partner with the Tallahassee Housing Authority in offering high-quality after- school programs that ensure
a safe, nurturing place of supervision for kindergarten through eighth grade students. The program will provide opportunities to reinforce and improve students’ academic, social, and citizenship skills.
These after-school programs will operate from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., offering 2-1/2 hours of supervised
activities, including homework assistance, social skills, arts and crafts, and parental workshops.
If any of your teachers are interested in employment with the after-school program, please have them complete the attached application and return it to the LCS Title 1

by March 2, 2016. We anticipate the week of March 7, 2016, as the start date.
