Parents:

As you may be aware, our schools faced several non-credible anonymous threats this week.

As we continue to work through the disruption it caused—and while this is fresh in our mind—please take a moment to make sure that your emergency contact information is up to date with your school. In the event of an actual emergency or a threat is deemed credible, we will contact you via phone call.

The safety of our schools will remain our number one priority. I want to thank you for your patience during this time and for your continued commitment to our schools.

Please join us on Monday, February 1st at Chiles High School at 6:00pm in the auditorium for a Community Conversation to further discuss school safety and the impact of social media.

Sincerely,

Jackie Pons

Superintendent of Leon Schools
