FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN LEON COUNTY HOLDS  SPECIAL IMMUNIZATION CLINICS FOR CHILDREN

Students who will be entering kindergarten or 7th grade next school year must have certain immunization documentation on file at school before the start of the next school year. Parents are encouraged to get their children immunized now for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year!

The Florida Department of Health in Leon County (formerly known as the “Leon County Health Department”) provides routine back-to-school immunizations, Monday through Friday, by appointment.  In addition, in July the Health Department in Leon has scheduled four special, extended-hours immunization clinics targeting students, high school age and younger, needing immunizations for school attendance. These free clinics will take place at the

Roberts & Stevens Clinic, 1515 Old Bainbridge Road, on the following dates and times:

Tuesday, July 8th                               2:00 – 6:30 p.m.

          Monday, July 14th                         2:00 – 6:30 p.m.

          Tuesday, July 22nd                       2:00 – 6:30 p.m.

          Saturday, July 26th                       9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Appointments are needed for these special clinics.  To schedule an appointment, or for more information, please call the Florida Department of Health in Leon County, Immunization Program Office, at (850) 606-8020.
