Awards/Graduation Ceremony will be held at Leon High School from 5:30-7:00 this Thursday.  This is a first-time-ever event for Cobb that you will not want to miss out on!

These are the examples of what the Magnet Summer Reading project might look like and above is the directions in a more easy to read format.

Remember—Rising sixth grade Magnet students are responsible for reading one book from each list. (Total of two.)

Rising 6^th, 7^th and 8^th graders:

Report cards will be mailed home to rising 7^th and 8^th graders. It is our goal, pending the release of FCAT and EOC scores, to include ALL Cobb student class assignments (not schedules) in that mail-out.   Students will receive schedules on their first day of school for the 2014/2015 school year.

SUMMER CAMPS:

As the school year closes and summer draws near, the summer camp registration deadlines are also approaching.  If you have not yet contacted your camp coordinator to reserve a ‘seat’, you will want to do that as soon as possible. The summer camp attachments contain contact information for the camp coordinators.  The registration forms may be found on the Magnet webpage.

Summer is almost here!  Do you have family-fun-filled activities planned?  Fun things to consider:

· designate intermittent electronic free evenings to include family read aloud time

· neighborhood talent show

· backyard campout

· Freeze Tag

· family hike

· family biking

· create a family tree to include a brief biography of each member

· listen to classical music, lights out, lying on the floor, and take turns saying what it sounds like

· shoot hoops, spell H-O-R-S-E
