We have made it beyond first semester; it is always such a shock when we second semester rolls around. So much has happened thus far with Spelling Bees, Tropicana Speech Contests, Science Fair, math competitions, and on and on and on…

Expect to see report cards to come home this Wednesday, January 16th.  Woo hoo!

Sixth grade parents—
If your child is going on the field trip to SeaWorld, you should expect a bright yellow letter to come home today announcing a slight change to the field trip.  The date has been changed to March 12-13, combining the sixth and seventh grade trips.  While the students will travel together, they will only mingle at dinner hour and perhaps on the bus. Otherwise, the students will be separate from each other and will participate in their grade level activities.  Please sign that bright yellow letter and send it back by your child tomorrow.

Sixth and seventh grade parents—
If your child is going on the SeaWorld field trip, please be reminded that your final payment is due January 31.  For those of you who have requested to be a chaperone on this trip, you will be notified by February 4 following this last payment.

If you have questions about your child’s field trip, please contact:

Next up?  The History Fair is well under way and will be held February 15.

And, in case you didn’t know—School Choice season has begun!  If you know of anyone who is interested in applying for the Magnet Program, please share the following share dates with them:
The information at all events will be duplicated.

All applications for School Choice are due by March 1.

Have a wonderful week!  Enjoy this crazy, beautiful weather while it lasts.  J
