Thank you for a
great week of FCAT. We appreciate you work in getting students to school and on
time. We have the fewest number of make-up tests in five years!!!
Take Your Daughter/Son to
Work Day
The
annual “Take Your Daughter/Son to Work” day will be held on
Thursday, April 26. Leon County Schools will allow participation in this
event for children in grades 3-8 only. In order to participate,
parents/guardians must complete a form indicating that your child will be
participating in this event and turn it in to the school by Wednesday, April
25. This form is available in the front office. The
parent/guardian must also provide the school with a written statement on
company letterhead by Monday, April 30, stating that your child
accompanied you to work on April 26 in order for the absence to be excused.
Cub Summer Camps
Attached
is a matrix of all the summer camps offered here at Cobb Middle School. The
matrix also lists the contact person for each camp. Also included with this
email are the applications for each camp. Please note that there is a
correction in the date for “Getting A Jump Start”, those dates
should be July 9-12
Teacher/Staff Appreciation
Week is Coming Up!
Teacher/Staff appreciation week is the week of May
7th – 11th . We invite all parents
to bring in Sweet Treats for our staff on the morning of Thursday, May 10th.

FSU Brain Fair
The
FSU Neuroscience Program is hosting our first annual Brain Fair, a free event
open to the public and intended for kids of all ages to learn how their brains
work. It will be held on Saturday May 5th, 2012, from 1-5pm in the FSU
Psychology Department Building. Our theme is 'Thinko de Mayo'. There will be
activities to teach kids of all
ages
how to make their own neuron, experience how the sensory systems work and can
be tricked, see real brains, and much more. More information can be found on

Tokyo, Kyoto & Osaka Travel Experience
