Thanks to all of you who came to the parent meeting this week! It was great to see so many people! As promised, here is a summary of the meeting:
- The Applebee’s Share Breakfast will be held September 18; 8-10. Last year this event was SO MUCH fun and I feel certain that this year will prove to be the same! This event is sponsored by Magnet students but everyone is welcome. Magnet students are
encouraged to order at least five tickets to sell but, of course, there is no limit! (I think that I heard something about a reward for the student who sells the most tickets.)
Ways to volunteer—
- Adult help is needed in the kitchen and to provide direction for the students who will be working in the dining room.
- Make posters to be used for advertisement.
- Sell tickets.
- Come and have fun!
- All parents are encouraged to sign up for both the Magnet listserv and the Parent listserv (I may have referred to this as Ms. Bell’s email/listserv at the meeting.) The link to enroll for both of these is on the Cobb Webpage in the right-most column on
that page. Be sure to reply to the email that you will receive in order to confirm.
- Lastly, we were reminded that the Magnet Spaghetti Dinner is to be held Oct. 8 in the Cobb lunchroom. More info on that project later!
