There is still time to be successful in all subject areas.  Keep checking webgrade, teacher sharepoint sites, schoolnotes.com and your child’s agenda book.  We will continue to communicate our high expectations for all students with grades and getting to class on time.  Students who have to make up assignments or need the media center for research projects may stay at the After School Library until 3:45, Tuesday – Thursday.  If they are normally a bus rider, they may ride the after school bus home; if they do not ride the bus, parents need to provide transportation.

A backboard that can stand alone is required for a display of the project.  No posters or poster boards will be accepted.  If you have not seen a gold Science Project Grade Sheet, please ask your child so that you can sign it.

Thank you for your support,

The Griffin Middle School Science Department

Thank you to Mr. Ronnie Crum, one of our dedicated parents, who has volunteered to be the GMS “Partners For Excellence” coordinator.  Please contact him through the GMS office, 488-8436, if you would like to find out how your organization, business – large or small, or government agency can participate in this program.  You may have the resources (human, financial or material) that could support Griffin’s quest for excellence.  It is a terrific way to be involved with the school and provides opportunities for volunteering and mentoring.  We look forward to your call!

Help Wanted:  District Advisory Council (DAC) Representative

There is still a need for a parent to attend the District Advisory Council meetings and keep Griffin’s PTO’s voice heard at the district level.  The DAC meets once a month, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Howell Center on Pensacola Street.  Please contact the school office, 488-8436, if you are interested in being Griffin’s DAC representative.
