The Tallahassee Astronomical Society is thrilled to be bringing their
telescopes to Chaires Elementary on Tuesday evening, December 6th from 6:30-
7:30pm for future astronomers to view the evening skies.

They are inviting all interested families to observe the skies above
Chaires School. They will set their scopes on Earth's moon (which will be
a waxing crescent), the planets Venus and Mars, the Andromeda Galaxy, the
Ring Nebula, as well as a variety of constellations.

The Tallahassee Astronomical Society will allow children and families to
peer through their telescopes and will explain what they are looking at and
about how far away it is.

We look forward to seeing you!

In order to try to make sure we have enough telescopes and Astronomy
members, please e-mail Kim Perez by Friday at 3pm and simply write your
child's teacher's name and how many people from your family will plan to
attend this exciting event.
