Hello Parents:
We are looking forward to seeing all of you tonight at our Open House.
I would like to ask you to help us out here in the Computer Lab. If you have not already done so, could you please complete your child's Internet Permission Form and bring it with you tonight? Please note: You MUST initiall ALL items that you grant your child permission rights to do while using the computers here at school.
The most critical item is for BASIC INTERNET ACCESS. If you do not initial this item, your child will be unable to use the computer this year for research projects while at school. This becomes crucial around Science Fair Time! Research at school is only done under a teacher or aid's supervision, and filtering software (provided by the DOE) is in place to add extra security. Many teachers pre-bookmark the websites for their students so that there is no "wandering" from site to site.
If you have questions or concerns regarding the form, please stop by the computer lab tonight and I will be happy to answer your questions, or you can call me at school (488-6225).
Thanks for all your help and support. We can't do it without you!
