1. Upcoming dates:

Sept. 8, Cherrydale Fundraiser Kick-off. This is our primary fundraiser for
the year so please plan to participate however you can.

Sept. 11, PTO general meeting and Public Hearing on the SIP (School
Improvement Plan) 6:30 in the Media Center. Open to all, please plan to attend.

Sept. 30, A+ Celebration. FREE fun for the whole family to thank and
congratulate all the Springwood Owls on our A+ grade for 2005-06. Free Food
and Fun for all.

2. Volunteer information:

If you are volunteering at school, please be sure you fill out the Leon
County Volunteer form, sign it and turn it in to the front office. (It is a
white/yellow carbon form).  Each time you come to school, be sure to sign in
at the office, to visit and/or volunteer; any non-employee on campus must
have a name tag on. When volunteering, please be sure to log your volunteer
time in the log book located in the guidance hallway.

A Chair person is needed for the School Store; job includes ordering
supplies and coordinating parent volunteers. Volunteers needed to work 1
Friday a month from 7:45-8:30 a.m. at the School Store.
