Parents/Guardians,

“Thank you for all of your support for our students, teachers and staff this year. As you may already be aware, Leon County Schools will NOT be offering the digital academies at each of our school sites in 2021-2022. All of our schools will host in-person learning.

With that in mind, we remain committed to providing your family options. To that end, we are expanding our local, online school Leon County Virtual School. Our online school, modeled after our state virtual school, serves students in grades K-12 and is led by a local Principal and Leon County School teachers. It has been in existence since 2010.

It is important to note that students enrolled full time in Leon County Virtual School withdraw from their traditional, brick and mortar school.

We are asking every family to complete the following survey for each LCS student by March 12:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LCSparentsurveyMarch

We understand that you may change your decision by August given the status of the pandemic or your family’s needs. This survey is only the first step in gauging the general interest parents may have in LCVS for planning purposes. We will be surveying students and families later as more specifics become available.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

For more information about Leon County Virtual School visit www.leonschools.net/virtualschool.”
