Dear Parents,

Welcome back! I hope you all had a relaxing and adventurous summer break. We are so excited about the upcoming school year and can't wait to see students on Monday, August 14th before 8:00 a.m. Students will receive their schedules that morning and engage in a full day of orientation activities. Be on the lookout for the back to school mail out. It will contain the newsletter, student info and medical forms, and much more.

The following hot topics will help you prepare for the start of the new school year.

* New Student Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, August 10th from 10:00 -11:30 a.m.

* Supervision starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m. The bell schedule is attached.

* Attendance Updates- We would like parents to utilize our attendance hotline (850) 617-5929 more and send notes to excuse absences within a 24-hour time period.

* Bus Info - Bus routes will be available on the Leon County Schools transportation web page http://www.leonschools.net/. We also have a link on our website.

* Supplies - Teachers will pass out their individual course supply list the first week of school. It's a good idea to start purchasing paper, folders, pens, and pencils.

* School breakfast and lunch is free for all students this year! Please complete the free and reduced lunch form to help increase our technology funding.

* Summer Reading will count as your child's first English grade. See our website for more details. https://www.leonschools.net/sail

We look forward to another great school year! Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas.

Sincerely,

Tiffany Williams, Principal
Steve Sears, Assistant Principal
