What is a Family Reading Party?
Much like popular home décor and kitchenware parties, Family Reading
Parties allow parents to learn about reading in a fun, relaxed
environment.

What will I gain from this training?
You will be trained to facilitate four parties:  How to Read to Your Child,
How to Choose a Book for Your Child, Building Blocks for Reading, and
Taming Television to Build Better Readers.  Each participant will receive a
Family Reading Parties Kit and Facilitator Certification.

How much does it cost?
It’s free!  Each participant will receive a free Family Reading Parties kit
containing party materials for 80 parents.

Who should attend?
Adult education and family literacy service providers and school
representatives are invited to attend.
